Intraradicular posts
Intraradicular posts are monolithic structures that are fixed in the dental canals. They are used in situations where the tooth is severely damaged and there is no longer any possibility of carrying out a restoration of it.
The inlay as such consists of two parts: first, the root part (post-shaped or several posts) and the coronal part (stump-shaped). The lower part (root) is cemented in the tooth canals and the upper part (coronal) serves as a support for the crown.
