How fast do Damon braces work?
Damon braces use the self-ligating principle and a sliding spring system instead of dentist-controlled elastic modules (such as ligatures), and, for this reason, the duration of treatment is relatively shorter.
Still, the treatment varies according to the severity of the case, just as with the use of traditional braces. The more difficult the case presents in relation to correcting the dental position, the greater dental movements will be required and, therefore, the treatment period will be longer than in cases in which the difficulty is less.
The average duration of treatment with Damon braces is 12 to 18 months.
