What is a dental implant?

Operation and healing period

While a dental implant is healing, temporary dentures can be used to mask missing teeth. Depending on the requirements and financial possibilities, this can be, for example, a temporary prosthetic superstructure on a dental implant, a Maryland bridge, a removable denture or a removable microprosthesis, a bridge on temporary implants.

control visits

After implant surgery at the ID Dent clinic, in order to maintain the guarantee, patients are invited for periodic examinations, which are carried out in accordance with a schedule agreed with the patient. Control visits are planned every three months during the first year after surgery. After this period, we meet with the patient every six months.

Recommendations after implantation

• it is not recommended to drive a car after taking sedatives before surgery
• food and drinks: within two hours after the operation, you should refrain from drinking and eating; follow a soft diet for 3 days
• after the procedure, physical activity should be avoided for 10 days
• avoid intensive brushing at the implant site until the sutures are removed, avoid intensive rinsing of the mouth during the first 3 days and do good oral hygiene
