Orthopantomogram
An orthopantomogram is a panoramic dental X-ray that allows for diagnosing issues with the dental arch. A panoramic X-ray is taken using a special machine that reveals:

- bone tissue of the upper and lower jaw
- temporomandibular joint
- maxillary sinuses
The image shows dental structures enlarged by an average of 15 percent, making all the anatomical structures of the alveolar processes clearly visible. Dental CT Scan

What are the Contraindications for Dental X-rays

Chronic diseases or other conditions aren’t absolute barriers when using modern equipment. Despite the potential health risks, X-rays used for dental imaging apply safe radiation doses.
